Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (Sunnyvale, CA)

In this highly regarded position at Aerohive, you will be a technical expert responsible for managing and cooperating with the technical marketing team to:

Responsibilities:

  • Author solution and application briefs describing how products and features are best deployed
  • Develop feature and performance tests utilizing networking test tools demonstrating the capabilities of Aerohive products
  • Write technical whitepapers describing compelling Aerohive technology
  • Create evaluation guides for customers and industry reviews
  • Perform competitive product testing to validate fact vs. fiction
  • Write honest competitive briefs about competing products in Wi-Fi, and routed networks
  • Develop labs and run technical demos for sales and marketing events
  • Participate in marketing requirements, product specification, and product design reviews with Product Management and Engineering, to provide valuable real-world perspective
  • Provide training on new products and technology for our system egineers, and support organization
  • Manage the Technical Marketing budget

Requirements:

For this position, you must have:

  • At least eight years in the computer networking field as a technical marketing engineer, system engineer, or support engineer, with at least three years as a technical marketing engineer
  • A detailed understanding of routing, switching, wireless LANs, and security
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage simultaneous projects to deadline, while staying on budget
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Powerpoint, and Microsoft Word
  • Experience using video authoring tools like Techsmith Camtasia, and Adobe Captivate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide examples of previous work

Recommended:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Industry certifications such as CWNA, CWNE, CCNP, and CCIE, are highly desired if they were achieved based on knowledge from years of experience
