Aerohive Networks Names Industry Veteran Cary Kosher Vice President, Americas Sales
Former Cisco Executive to Drive Revenue Growth and Strengthen Sales Team
SANTA CLARA, Calif., August 4, 2009 — Aerohive Networks, creators of the award-winning cooperative wireless LAN (WLAN) architecture, announced today that it has named Cary Kosher Vice President, Americas Sales. Kosher is an accomplished senior sales executive with more than 17 years of sales experience in the networking industry. Previously, Kosher managed Cisco Systems' wireless business in the western U.S. and Canada. While at Cisco, Kosher secured marquee customers and grew annual sales in his region from $78 million to $128 million, leading the region to be named one of Cisco's top wireless sales areas in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Kosher joined Cisco through its acquisition of Airespace, a provider of wireless LAN systems. As director of sales for the West at Airespace, he was responsible for building the company's sales and channel organization in the region.
Earlier in his career, Kosher was senior vice president of sales for the Americas at WatchGuard Technologies. As part of the company's original management team, he helped to guide the company through its initial public offering and a secondary offering, creating $3 billion of shareholder value.
Kosher has also held positions at Napera Networks, Polyvec, Whitetree (acquired by Ascend Communications), 3COM, and Chipcom (acquired by 3COM). Kosher earned a B.A. in advertising and marketing from the University of Washington.
