Lower Cost - No Controller Cost or Complexity

Aerohive Networks controller-less cooperative control architecture provides for a more cost-effective wireless LAN solution able to perform all the functionality of a controller-based solution without the costs associated with implementing controllers.

Centralized management and automated control functions address the management challenges associated with autonomous wireless LANs, and Aerohive's linear cost structure and scalability is able to ensure consistent and predictable costs when expanding coverage or adding capacity. Just by adding the appropriate number of HiveAPs, organizations are able to move from a convenience wireless LAN with meeting room coverage, to a mission-critical network, with whole site coverage and sufficient capacity for every employee to be wirelessly connected.

Additionally the distributed control and forwarding capabilities inherent to Aerohive's cooperative control architecture eliminates the need to push controllers closer to the edge to improve wireless LAN capacity, reliability and policy enforcement, and to reduce latency and jitter. This significantly reduces the cost of a wireless LAN with these requirements.

Aerohive's cooperative control architecture allows you to address capacity and planning easily and there is never the unfortunate requirement of needing to upgrade to a higher capacity controller just because you need to add one more AP or want to migrate to IEEE 802.11n for higher performance.
