GuestManager
Today's enterprises have opened their doors to a host of non-employee guests, including customers, business partners, contractors, auditors, and more. These guest users are highly mobile, and often require network access. Wireless LANs offer an excellent solution to the problem of access, but poses a new issue of control.
Aerohive's GuestManager, offered as part of complete Aerohive Guest Access solution, provides a powerful answer that combines security with ease-of-use. In combination with HiveAPs, the GuestManager enables any authorized employee to create an account via an intuitive Web interface, ensuring that guests can get the access they need while the LAN remains secure. The GuestManager, which is delivered as a hardened network appliance, acts as a RADIUS server ensuring authentication and reporting on all guest users. Different user types, such as contractors, consultants or visitors can be placed on different networks with access policies tailored to suit their requirements.
