Aerohive is committed to assuring appropriate use and privacy of personal data which may be accessed through Aerohive products and services. This specifically includes our respective roles and duties under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) data protection regulations regarding the collection, use, processing and transfer of personal data, including data from third-parties accessing the internet by means of Aerohive products or our or your services. Many of these specific roles and duties are mandated as a condition to continued business in the European Economic Area (EEA) on or through our platform after May 25, 2018. Under GDPR, Aerohive and our customers using Aerohive’s products and services have shared responsibilities regarding GDPR compliance. Aerohive’s customers decide what kind of personal data is collected and how it is processed and stored in their Aerohive network. The customer may also give access to APIs to third parties for data sharing and provide separate services directly to device users, which may implicate additional requirements under GDPR regulations.
Aerohive’s customers are required to have appropriate policies in place to ensure they are GDPR-compliant, including getting consent, producing data upon request and providing the ability to delete data if requested. As the data processor, Aerohive assists our customers in addressing their GDPR responsibilities, by providing functionality in our products and implementing appropriately secure handling and control of personal data in our cloud.
If you use Aerohive products or services in the EEA or service end users in the EEA (or in Switzerland, where our updated terms are also relevant), or are otherwise subject to the GDPR, please review these terms carefully. If you do not use Aerohive products or services or service end users in the EEA or are not based in Switzerland, you may disregard this email. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or Aerohive directly at Privacy@aerohive.com.
