Staffordshire School Wins Wi-Fi Upgrade worth £7000
Cheslyn Hay Sports and Community School wins Redway Networks’ Ultimate Schools Win Big Competition - Powered by Aerohive Networks
London, UK, — 01 June 2017 — Redway Networks and Aerohive Networks® (NYSE:HIVE), the leading independent enterprise Wi-Fi vendor, have announced Cheslyn Hay Sports and Community School as the winner of Redway Networks’ “Win Big” competition for schools. They received free Aerohive HiveManager® NG and dual radio access points, the AP130, worth over £7000 combined.
The demand for internet bandwidth within schools continues to be put under pressure, as students and staff depend on mobile devices in the classroom to provide more intuitive learning experiences.
Redway Networks’ Win Big competition was open to schools throughout the UK, running online across four months on the Redway Networks’ website, with the winner selected at random. The award ensures that Cheslyn Hay is kitted out with enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and full support from Redway Networks and Aerohive Networks.
Students and staff will now benefit from a streamlined user experience and simplified troubleshooting that has the capacity to deal with increased Wi-Fi demands within the classroom. The combination of HiveManager NG with Aerohive’s new access point, the AP130, will deliver a complete mobility solution for the school and its staff and pupils.
Kristopher Jobson, ICT Development Manager, said: “Winning this competition has replaced our outdated Wi-Fi provision. With this solution, alongside the amazing support from Aerohive Networks and Redway Networks, we are really connecting students and staff to education content easily and more securely. I did not realise what was possible until I saw this solution.”
Leigh Hayes, Director at Redway Networks, explains: “We do a lot of work to keep the education industry connected and wanted to give something back. Cheslyn Hay Sports and Community School will benefit instantly from this more readily available access to online tools and improved connectivity”.
Raif Mehmet, Sales Director from Aerohive Networks agrees: “This solution will future-proof Cheslyn Hay Sports’ and Community School’s digital capabilities and give them a clear upgrade path as their needs advance or change in the future”.
